For 125 years since its founding, The Eighteenth Bank, Ltd. has been one of the foremost banks in Kyushu. We have a solid network of 113 branches, with 102 branches, including our head office, in our traditional base of Nagasaki Prefecture, and 11 branches in nearby Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Yamaguchi Prefectures, as well as in the major cities of Tokyo and Osaka. By strengthening financial soundness and improving earning capacity, we aim in terms of both quality and quantity to become Nagasaki Prefectures leading bank, providing comprehensive financial services suited to the demands of this new era in banking.
As of March 31, 2002, the Bank held deposits of ¥1.8 trillion (US$13,979 million) and total assets of ¥2.1 trillion (US$16,446 million) on a non-consolidated basis. We have maintained the soundness of our operations and achieved a term-end capital ratio of 9.90% in accordance with domestic standards.
